48 orang-utans have been seized from a private zoo in Bangkok and liberated back to their natural areas.

The orang-utan is a protected endangered species under a United Nations regulation which prohibits the trade in animals at risk.

Some of these orang-utans needed treatment for hepatitis B but all are now reported to be in good health and ready for their liberations.
